Chairman Dr. Dayanand Pai’s dream project, NCC, became a reality at Vidyashilp Academy in 2020. Today, with around 200 active cadets, we have accomplished various initiatives, including blood donation camps, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, tree plantation, awareness programs, and cycle rallies for cancer. We have also organized cader and CATC camps.
Vidyashilp Academy NCC aims to shape responsible and globalized citizens for the nation’s betterment, with more to come in the future.
Our Shilpreneurship Program equips students, or ‘Shilpreneurs,’ through hands-on experience. With expert guidance, they learn to create, market, and manage their own products. This empowers students to develop entrepreneurial skills.
Additionally, our curriculum includes complementary initiatives that enhance experiential learning.
Shilp Beyond aims at the holistic development of our students by helping them explore their interests. There are three main activities or initiatives within Shilp Beyond:
• Shilp Dew
Stimulating a real newsroom, Shilp Dew is a dedicated room with an informal environment that provides a platform to create and publish the School newspapers. This helps our students resonate with learning content, as well as improves their writing skills.
• Shilp Encounter
This initiative helps students develop their communication skills through preparing and delivering speeches and presentations to an audience, including parents. It offers a fun way to develop research skills, debating and critical thinking skills, while increasing their self-esteem and confidence.
• Shilp Sparsh
Under Shilp Sparsh, students visit local villages weekly and participate in various activities. The objective of this is to sensitize our students to realities of communities that may be less privileged than theirs. These visits are followed by class discussions and written reflections.
