Unlocking excellence in education

In recognition of valuable contribution to the study of innovation in the field of education, Vidyashilp Academy was selected as ATL of the month (December 2019) by Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog. VSA holds one of the top five places in the state and is the only school selected from the city.

The Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) set up by NITI Aayog for transforming the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in the country. A key initiative of AIM is to establish a network of Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATL) with the objective of creating scientific temper as well as cultivating the spirit of curiosity and creativity among young minds. Students participate with enthusiasm utilizing the Atal Tinkering Lab as the platform for mastering their innovation skills. The Management and ATL Mentors strive hard to inculcate the spirit of innovation among students of Vidyashilp Academy and neighboring schools.

The collaboration with IISc Institute through Atal Tinkering Labs, places equal emphasis on student learning aimed at encouraging bright young students to pursue learning in the basic sciences.

Atal Innovation Mission is India’s grand initiative to promote innovation and entrepreneurship of which, Atal Tinkering Labs is one such program. It was established to provide the world-class facility at the school level by setting up state of the art Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) in schools, where students get hands-on experience with Robotics, IoT and other miniaturized electronics, globally used in most modern devices.

Great Place to Study, a data-driven research and technology firm, has certified Vidyashilp Academy as the best institute globally. The Great Place to Study Research Institute is the first international platform that certifies and affiliates schools and colleges, with a core focus on student satisfaction surveys, independent reviews, and on-the-ground audits.

The certification is an emblem of global standards and practices earned by institutions and universities that have a strong focus on student satisfaction practices in the areas of learning experience, learning objective, learning outcome, life on campus, and happiness quotient.

Vidyashilp Academy is India’s first Fairtrade School. The institute joined a growing number of institutions across the world that are recognized as change-makers.

Our students understand how trade and our food system work and how we can work together to make it fairer.
