From the moment students step onto campus, they find a wealth of opportunities to engage, connect, and thrive. Whether our students are passionate about sports, arts, or community service, we offer a plethora of activities and opportunities to cater to their interests.
Student Council
The VSA student council is made up of a group of democratically elected students who work to create a positive atmosphere at school. The council sets missions and works with a teacher coordinator to guide them along the way. The structure of the council is such that every rung of the ladder is dependent on the ones below it, which makes sure that every member is actively involved in decision-making. Being a part of the student council is an excellent way for students to develop their leadership skills and learn how to communicate effectively. In fact, students are encouraged to step up and nominate themselves for a post without any restrictions.
Arts
At VSA, we adhere to the dynamic and diverse Art syllabus outlined by the Cambridge IGCSE Art & Design and the CISCE curriculums. Upholding our commitment to excellence, our students develop an exceptional portfolio of their artwork, paving the way for them to pursue higher degrees in esteemed Art Schools worldwide.
Phase-I: Students engage in an exploration of various art disciplines.
Phase-II: Students are encouraged to specialize in either Photography or Design.
Our emphasis goes beyond theoretical knowledge, as we strive to cultivate well-rounded individuals capable of applying their skills in real-world scenarios.
Community Service
We believe that education is not just about learning from books but also interacting with people from different backgrounds who can broaden your horizons. We encourage our students to participate in community service projects that help them understand how their actions impact others around them. Some of the highlights of our activities include:
VSA 5K Run
RUN FOR A CAUSE, A RUN BY THE COMMUNITY brought 1261 participants, raising INR 6,60,000. INR 2,60,000 was donated to Shree Raj Educational Centre and government schools.
FuelADream
Crowdfunding through FuelADream raised INR 1,45,000 for cataract surgeries in Hoskote, Kolar, and Chintamani districts.
COVID-19 VSA Student and Community Initiatives
- VSA students’ ‘Bangalore Calling’ initiative raised
pandemic awareness - Student-run Tavasya Foundation donated 24,100 masks.
The foundation also collaborated with a facility to vaccinate
100+ underprivileged citizens through their ‘Mayuksha’ project. - The VSA kitchen staff fed 47,998 daily wage workers
- Shaayan Chawla (Grade 10) and Shiv Chawla (Alumni)
delivered meals and ration kits to needy families.
Sustainability
Vidyashilp Academy prioritizes sustainable initiatives for lasting impact. Students engage in addressing societal challenges, stay informed through awareness measures, and participate in energy conservation programs on campus.
